FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND POINTS BLOGGING IN THE RAIN......WHAT A RIDE
I have been watching my Active Rain points get closer and closer to 500,000 then today I went over this New Benchmark....When I started here in 2007 I sure never thought I would be Blogging to market my real estate.
It all started for me back in February 2007 . I had no idea what I was getting myself into or why. It just seemed like a good idea to network with other Realtors...
Here are some of my Highlights of Posting in the Rain.
- Here's my very First Post February 13, 2007 fairly wordy no graphics or photos then. Nobody commented until Terri Ellis 2009..ha. My Feb 26 Post on Law of Attraction has 111 Comments todate..that was Huge then, but no feature, not sure we were doing that back then. I wrote 18 Blog posts in my first Month. In 2007 I wrote only a total 94 Posts.
- The Following year in 2008 I posted a few more totaling 1902, with my first Feature Post was one of my saddest posts, a Young Realtor in our office was Murdered while showing a home, the case still remains unsolved.My Highlight of 2008 of meeting and hiring Katerina Gasset to Coach me on SEO and Blogging, here is a post I wrote How I got to Number 1 on Google overnight using Long Tail Key Words I accomplished this with the help and coaching from Katerina and I still use what I learned from her in 2008...How Cool is That!
- In July of 2008 I wrote a post about our New MLS Software program, only 6 Comments but over 6,000 Views and over 4800 clicks through...be sure to read your stats page to see how many people are reading and watching you.
- July 9th 2008 Katerina Gasset tagged me with doing My Super MeMe post which Mary McKnight started rolling in the Rain, then On October 10th 2008 Kathy Clulow tagged me to do a Friendship Ball
- By 2009 I was often seeing 3,000 -8,000 viewers on my posts, with a Wordless Wednesday Post Victoria Harbour on Board the Tall Ships Getting me over 8,000 Viewers, in September I wrote a Blog Called"Google This Address Sign Topper" which generated a lot of interest with 97 AR Member comments
- October 10, 2009 my Feature Post from my First Rain Camp in Seattle "5 Reasons Agents Should Blog and More From Seattle Rain Camp"
- October 31 my post on the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay started in Victoria Last Night, I Videoed this and posted my Video in the Posts which attracted 4600 viewers.
- My November 12, 2009 Post thanking Bob Stewart for my points on Bob Stewart's Challenge "Using your Blog to Enhance your existing relationship" to Where I earned 5,000 Points...YES!!
- January 23, 1010 Feature Post about Selling My Listing with Multiple Offers"Oak Bay Home For Sale, Sold No Print Ad's Required"
- My July 23 2010 Northwest Deuce Day Victoria BC Post with a car picture slide show which was a follow up to a post I did in 2007 about a similar car event
- My October 12, 2010 Post Probably the hardest post I have written, a tribute to my Best Friend "Farewell my Friend "Winston Carver" May 2, 1994 to October 12, 2010"
- January 31 Day New Years Challenge by Connie Harvey...Talk about shifting into high gear Jan 1, 1011, I made it through the Month Blogging daily.
- January 13, 2011 Feature Post "Google Your Name Then Google Your Competition" inspired by Debe Maxwell
- My February 28th brought over 5,000 viewers to my Localism Post "The 10th Annual Fairfield Artist Studio Tour"
- 137 Comments on my May 5, 2011 Feature Post "Are You Doing Client Video Testimonials..You Should Be"
- My July 18, 2011 Feature Post "Post Your Open House in the Rain Using the Right Description in Your Heading"
- This September I entered another 30 day Challenge from Deborah Byron to Blog Hyper Localism Posts..and earned 3,000 Points!! I set my own goal of 60 posts and just made it....you need to reach in this Business of Blogging.
I Wish to Thank you all for being part of my life here in the Rain Blogging, being Friends and sharing your ideas with me, I certainly would never have reached this New Benchmark of 500,000 Points without you all.
