REMEMBERING NAMES AND SETTING GOALS-Zig Ziglar
Back in the 60's I enrolled in a week long Sales and Motivational Training Course by somebody called Zig Ziglar. Not many knew who he was then, now everyone knows who Zig Ziglar is. The Course was held at the Holiday Inn in Medford Oregon. Class's started sharp every day at 8 AM. Zig talked to us on how to motivate ourselves and how motivation applied to our daily lives, he us gave many great examples.
I liked his motivational material it was easy to listen too, especially someone else telling positive stories, and with Zig came many funny stories...
One morning Zig came to class with a large hard covered book..Zig announced that by the end of the day, we will memorize this book...I said to myself, "I need to leave right now, I can't do this" ....Wrong, by 3 pm we all could quote what happened on what page and paragraph and who said it..You see Zig showed us how easy it is to remember.... by associating the action or name by what it reminded us of...such as the name George a New person I might meet, that was easy I would say to myself this person name is the same as my middle name.. At this time Zig was way ahead of all the Memory courses I ever heard of..Just think of a person you know and something that their name reminds you of...it can be that simple.
A few years ago, I was looking for a Goal Setting Course or book, to help me stay on track with setting my goals. I thought of Zig, and then purchased his Goal setting CD's. I played them often in my car to help me set my goals and stay on track. He makes it easy with his common sense approach with real life examples and of course Zig's humor..He does make you laugh which helps you remember. You'll end up quoting many of Zig's jokes you hear from his Goal Setting CD's.
I wanted to share Zig's Goal setting with you and I searched YouTube and found his Goals setting Video's there ...Save these video's, they are broken down to three YouTube Video's below...Plan a time to sit down in a room and make notes and write your goals for next year with Zig's help. Zig shows you how to easily set your daily goals, by writing the ten most important things to do for the next day in order of importance each night before you go to bed. Good Luck.
