  • Planned Saturday events include kilted mile athletics, tug of war competition, haggis hurling competition, sheep dog herding competition, first day of the Victoria International Heavy Events Challenge presented by Lighthouse Brewing Company, Amateur B and Novice heavy event competition, pipe band performances, falconry and swordfighting demonstrations, cultural and heritage presentations, and Scottish and Celtic dance, music and entertainment activities. Large free children entertainment area. Scottish and Celtic vendor (food and goods) along with 2 beer gardens and a single malt whisky tasting school.

    Highland GamesHighland Games in VictoriaSunday is the traditional Scottish Games and features competitions in highland dancing, bagpiping and drumming; massed pipe band performances and a spectacular opening ceremonies at noon with massed pipebands and the Fraser Highlanders cannon and musket demonstration (you may even see skydivers too!). The second day of the Victoria International Heavy Events Challenge presented by Lighthouse Brewing Company will occur along with an Open/Amateur A, Master’s Mens, and Women’s heavy event competition. In addition the great entertainment activities and hospitality from Saturday keeps on going!

    The VHGA is very pleased to be presenting a Free Kid’s Area. The Victoria Highland Games is one of the best values going around for families – especially seeing that children under 12 are free to the Games. The Kid’s Area includes:

    • Face painting, Balloon twisting and temporary tattoos
    • Play area with 3 large Inflatables
    • Mini Heavy Events
    • Sack races and Kilted Dash
