Wow, the Last 6 months of 2011 seemed to just Fly By.
Single Family homes sales held in Victoria while Condo Prices Dropped a little by year end in 2011.

Victoria has some of the lowest unemployment rate in the Country.
In December it was at 5.9 % with the national average rate at 7.5 % in December. Source: CBC News......The Seaspan Ship Building Contract certainly helps us have bright future for The Ship Building Industry.
On the Housing side the forecast is for a slight average increase in Residential Values with Sales holding steady. It looks like a Balanced real estate market in the Victoria in the core area with possible sale prices down on the outskirts...still to early to tell.
I started the Year crazy busy with many showings on my listings...Home Buyers are looking and comparison shopping and keen to Buy a home. The Main source of sales in 2011 was still mostly from Victoria. With our Record Low interest rates now is a good time to buy a home or rental property.
Buyer confidence seems to have been the main reason for a slower Fall Market with Daily News about Europe Financial wows. Canadians are cautious by nature, I expect with recent activity, Victoria home Buyers are realizing the Sky isn’t falling and they need a home.
Re/Max has held the Lead with Real Estate Market Share with Sales throughout 2011, I do not expect this to change in 2012....See my example Re/Max Market share for November 2011.
Here’s a Summary of current Single Family Listings,Sales Completed and Pending Sales, Expired and Withdrawn listings for the Last 30 Days(the slowest time of year)
