SPEECHLESS SUNDAY...VICTORIA'S FAMOUS BLUE BRIDGE
In Victoria we have a Blue Painted Bridge that ends at Johnson Street and then over the Victoria Harbour waterway to the Western side of Victoria known as Vic West and onto the Municipality of Esquimalt, which is home to Canada's Pacific Naval Fleet Command called HMCS Naden and CFB Esquimalt.
The Bridge for many years was know as the Johnson street Bridge, than I'm not sure of the Year the city did some upgrading and painted the Bridge Blue. Now Everyone refers to the Bridge as the Blue Bridge..the Bridge allows access to Victoria's Down Town from the West for Pedestrians, Cars and Even Trains(although only the Island computer Car Known as The Dayliner now )cross the bridge to pick up passengers heading up or coming back from the rest of Vancouver Island as far north as Courtney, BC. The Bridge also raises to allow shipping in the Inner Harbour Marine working areas of the Victoria Harbour, where still today there is a ship repair and building business bouncing back from slower economic times.
Recently the Bridge has been nelected and the City was in the process of spending millions $$$ to replace the Blue bridge, until many local Victorians Said no we want to save this historic bridge, and it is all on hold while the City decides what to do with this old Girl.

HAVE YOUR BEST YEAR EVER IN 2012 !
Cheers
