Last Year in our Victoria Real Estate Board MLS committee, we discussed what other ways could we offer the Public to find and View our Listings without Costing the Realtors a lot of money to showcase and promote their listings. We all agreed the Public was not well served when trying to find Active Open Houses throughout Victoria, and Realtors were pressed for Budget Control with a slowing real estate Market. So we Struck a sub committee with John Francis, Sean Farrell and myself Fred Carver to investigate the possibility and Cost of having our own Open House Website. The Purpose was for Victoria Home Buyers easily find all Homes that were open by Realtors on any day of the week, and be Free to all our real estate board Realtor members in Victoria BC.
Well... after countless hours and support from our own Board staff, we prepared a draft to the MLS Committee along with a budget and the Victoria Real Estate Board Directors approved the go ahead to build our own real estate Open House website. www.openhousesvictoria.com
The end Results of our New Victoria MLS Open House Site were nothing short of Fantastic, certainly a huge success as it is very well received by the Public and Realtors alike..
As you'll see below, it's a mini Victoria MLS website with information on Victoria BC MLS listings along with the Open House Day, time, road map ,photos and also printable for the Public to prepare to go house shopping.
The First weekend, Realtors Reported a increase of traffic at their Open Houses and Now we rank at the top of Google under Victoria Open Houses. I also posted a link to the New MLS Open House Site on two of my websites for Victoria BC Real Estate Victoria BC Real Estate Listings Victoria Real Estate
The Cost to the 1200 plus Realtor members was approximately $30,000. It Offers our Realtors another marketing tool to promote their Open Houses Free online and the Public now can easily find Open Houses in their price range, location, Bedroom & Bathroom needs along with the Day and Time of the Open House ....all in the leisure of their home online 24/7.
