That is awesome Fred! It was exciting being in Vancouver and realizing how close it is until the Olympic torches will be burning in Whistler..even though I am in BC I did not feel a big part of it until I was in the city and could see all and hear all the buzz....
Hi Karen..thousands lined the Streets of Victoria in the Rain to Cheer on the Athlete's.
Cheers, thanks for dropping by :O))
Good morning Fred,
Liz tipped me off to yur post. Thanks for link to Olymipic website. I listened to video about torch relay and I bookmarked it for future reference. In 1996 the torch came through Erie, PA in front of my friend's house. Next day it left with lots of fanfare from Perry Square so I got up early to see it off. Thanks. Mary
Hi Fred - I think I heard the route is 45,000 km long not 4,500 km. The torch is going to have a great scenic view of Canada based on the maps at the Olympic site you linked.
Hi Marc...I searched the Main Vancouver 2010 Relay Site to confirm the total distance and you are correct is is 45,000 Long.
Thanks we'll have to hire you as the editor.
Thanks
