Oak Bay-Uplands- Real Estate Year in Review
As 2009 draws to a close....... I thought I would review the Real Estate activities of Victoria's Mincipality of Oak Bay, an area know by the locals as the Uplands, an area bordered by Cadboro Bay Rd to the North and West, Beach Drive to the East and Nottingham and Dorset to the South.
Single Family Sales since January in the Uplands Total 19 with an 2009 year to date Average Selling Price of $1,595,474 with an average of 55 days on the market.
Single Family Pending Sales Total 5 with an average selling price of $ 2,068,800 with an average of 41 days on the market.
It would appear Oak Bay's Uplands Single Family Real Estate sale prices are up, and the days on the market have decreased.
Currently there are 11 Single Family Uplands Homes For Sale with an Average asking price of $ 2,695,727 ranging in price from $879,000 for a home on Cadboro Bay Rd and up to $7,450,000 for a home on Beach Drive.
I recently drove through the Uplands on along Beach Drive and took a pictures of the homes to give you an idea of the Quaintness and Character of the Uplands and the Uplands Homes.
History of The Uplands of Oak Bay, is an upper-class neighbourhood located in the north east part of the Municipality of Oak Bay, British Columbia, between the neighbourhoods of Cadboro Bay and Willows Beach. Uplands is a prominent example of a garden suburb designed in the early part of the 20th century.Oak Bay was once part of the Hudson Bay Trading Company's Pacific Northwest Holdings and 1st settled by the Songhees First Nation
