SAANICH PENINSULA LIVING AND FIELDS OF DAFFODILS
On my Way home from meeting with my Seller of my New Listing in North Saanich on Leal Rd I stopped and thought to myself......what a great place to live and rise a family in this quite farming area. It's Close...say 15 minutes but away from the hustle and bussle of Victoria. The Saanich Peninsula has a long history for farming.
While heading back to Victoria I noticed the Fields of Daffodils in Central Saanich, (one of the few Municipalities still with Viable Farming).
The Spring and Summer Flower season is just around the corner and every year Fields of Daffodils are the first Sign of Spring as they grown commercially here to be shipped around the world. This Year they were very early and they are almost done with now until another Year.
Here is field of Daffodils and the lone tree in the middle of the field I photographed on my way back to Victoria.
HAVE YOUR BEST YEAR EVER IN 2012 !
Cheers

Yeah buddy, The daffodils are out in full color. Certainly a sure sign of spring...
What a cool looking photo Fred! I am looking forward to seeing more green here as well.
Great pic! Nice contrast between the vibrant yellow flowers and the stark, dormant tree!
Hi Michael...They are a great sight for sore eyes.
Hi Bill...Spring is Coming your way too.
Hi Dora and Vincent...Thanks, soon this tree will have leaves and the Daff's will be gone until next year
Fred - very cool looking photo, and I love daffodils, I have some in a vase right now!
Fred,
Daffodils are always a very welcome sight in spring....especially here in Ontario where they don't make an appearance until April.
I love the tree in your photo!
Jo
Hi Sharon...Enjoy they while they are available, I wonder if they came from Victoria?
Hi Jo...Why wait...Come to Victoria for a wee visit, The Tulips are now up too
Great picture, Fred! Daffodils are out here now, but tulips are popping their heads up a little......
I'm a little late Fred on my comment. Very nice shot of the field of daffodils and the tree overlooking their growth!
Hi Dagny...we're got both at the moment
Hi Wanda...You're welcome anytime, the daff's are still in my garden along with my Tulips.
