Thursday July 22 Join other Oak Bay recreation members for the day to view the Parksville Sandcastles 2010.

Join visitors from around the globe and marvel at the creative sand sculptures by Master Sand Sculptors who travel from all corners of the globe.

Departs: 8:30 AM July 22/10 Returns: 7 PM

Enjoy a coffee in Duncan and lunch at Deez Bar and Grill in Qualicum. Time to browse the quaint shops in Qualicum.

Fred, we used to have a beach house in Qualicum Beach (ok, my ex still has it...) - but we would visit the Parksville sandcastle competition every year, and each year was better than the last.  Great photo!

Those scuptures look similar to ones at a contest in Harrison. The competitors must do the circuit.
