SPEECHLESS SUNDAY BLACKBERRIES AND BEYOND

SPEECHLESS SUNDAY BLACKBERRIES AND BEYOND

Last night  Jane and our Neighbor went down the road to find and pick blackberries for a pie...I though were are they going ? They are just around the Corner on our street.....maybe I'll pick a few and help in case they are unsuccessful.

The Rest is history..

From Blackberries on the bush to being washed to the oven and the end result.

Note: Jane has taken a slice of the pie for her lunch today, I'll get to try a piece at lunch today.

HI Fred - yum!!! That pie looks amazing. I love blackberries, and those are great photos! I put them in smoothies.

Awesome photos!  We've got blackberries galore all along our driveway so have also been picking, baking and enjoying!!

I know that pie must be as yummy as it looks.  I have blackberries growing in my front yard and it's just another one of nature's little gifts here in the mountains.

Fred - I went to an area of Blackberries near my house with 3 granddaughters recently.  We weren't quite as fortunate as you.  The ones that could be reached, had pretty much been "picked" by the herd of deer in the area:-)  Nice looking pie, and a great little slide show!

That is one of the things I really, really miss about the house I originally grew up in. We had 5 acres of Black Berries behind our house, we never had a problem with having enough for pie or anything else you can think to use Black Berries for.
