Note: Currently the 12% gains for 2007 appear to be gone, we are back to a balanced market, pricing is important when Selling, with great choices if you are Buying. CMHC is forecasting around a 3% gain for house prices for 2008. Hi Donna....The Real Estate market in the Saanich Peninsula are of Victoria is strong, however prices have slipped a little from last year. Great choices for Buyers. Sellers need to pricing their home correctly..by staying ahead of the current trend.

Hi Petra...during 2003 to 2006 we saw around 18 to 20 % gains a year, we're now seeing about a 10% price drop over last year. Our local economy is strong with the lowest unemployment in the country, less than 1% vacancy rate and 4,000 people a year moving here. I expect the market to remain stable. We're in a failrly balanced market, pricing is import for Buyers, as they are comparative shopping with our increased inventory..
