Thousands of Victoria residents turned out to watch the Annual Christmas Lighted Truck Parade. People were asked to bring a donation of food for the local food banks. The Parade Started at Victoria's Ogden Point waterfront on Dallas road and weaved throughout the city to finally end up at the Western Speedway Race Track,. The Parade of Big trucks takes about two hours to complete, a full ten minutes to watch them drive by,. Very Popular with Victorians, we once again we joined in and helped with Coffee, Hot Chocalate and Christmas cookies at Jane's employer at Sands Colwood Office, the local Colwood Fire Department pickup the food donations and the motor cycle police throughout the city handled the traffic control so the trucks could travel without interruption. I'd never seen this before, but managed to catch it last evening, when I was in Victoria...what a great tradition, and some pretty creative decorating jobs, on those "work vehicles", too. Will be viewing again, next year, that's for sure!
Fred looks like the light parade was a success! These kind of events are great....HO HO HO:)
Hi Bill...This Event is very popular with everyone rain or shine...good news the rain held off last night, just as the truck came by us.
Cheers, thanks for Visiting Ho Ho Ho to You Too
Fred, That was a wonderful video and I loved seeing the parade! Thanks so much for sharing it, it was beautifully made.
Hi Carol...This Video was ten minutes long, I was not sure if YouTube would run one that Long..I uploaded it and Walla...It worked and looked great. Cheers, I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks for visiting!
Fred - That's what I call a parade! I've never seen anything so colorful or heard so many horns blowing in just 10 minutes. What a great event that everyone in Victoria must look forward to attending.
Hi Donna...No Need to add sound effects, the Truckers supplied all the Sound effects Needed..also on the same night there was Christmas light boat display in the Victoria Inner Harbour. We were too far away to catch booth events.
Cheers, thanks for Visiting MERRY CHRISTMAS!
