Many other Home Owners are also planning to put their house on the market in the Spring.
Recent Studies show when selling any product, it is extremely helpful to have as little competition as possible.
Here are some reasons why the Winter months are probably the Best Time to sell your home in Victoria:
- Many corporations including the Armed Forces notify their employees of a pending transfer
- Fewer homes are on the market now.
- Competition is at its lowest.
- Interest rates for home financing are traditionally lower.
- Very few people are "just looking" but are rather serious about relocating and are probably going to buy.
- If the current trend continues home Prices may continue to fall by the Spring.
Just think how nice it would be if your home had already SOLD while all the other Spring Victoria home sellers are competing for the same qualified buyer.

Hi Katerina...I think it's always a good time to Buy home in Wellington Florida. In Victoria BC the Spring through to the Fall has great choices for home buyers, although the Winter time brings out Serious Home Sellers. The Winter always helps Sellers get their home Sold Quickly and for top dollar even in a slowing market.

Fred as the saying goes there is no better time than the present!
Fred, When the seller is really ready to sell is the only BEST time to put a home on the market.
I find serious buyers are looking at this time of year, as opposed to "hobby" shoppers on beautiful spring days. Some of my most productive times have been in snow and ice storms.
BTW it has just started snowing in Baltimore about an hour ago.

Fred - It's always a good time to sell a home as long as the seller is motivated, it is priced below the seller's competitors and shows well. In Florida, where the sun always shines, it is always a good time to buy or sell.
Hi Petra...Oh course a Sunny time helps a lot, however the Winter time in Victoria there is less competition for home Sellers.

Morning Fred! I agree, No time like the present! Unfortunately, if our weather is really bad no one goes anywhere. Unlike Margaret's area, we DON"T drive in the snow or ice. No one knows how!!
Hey Connie...Nobody Knows how to drive in the Snow here too, in fact we do not have any snow blowers to clear the roads. So our city comes to a halt if we get a lot of the white stuff...which we did at Christmas this year. Now there is no Snow, and Spring is just around the Corner.
Real estate is Sold almost every day here except for the Blizzard we get every 15 years or so.

Hi Fred, WHAT is that popping sound? ;-) Anyway, I think you're right. People are shopping during the winter months to get ready to be situated for the summer when their children get out of school....here, they do, to get in before the heat wave. ;-)
